The Story Behind Our Logo

Green.

The dominant color is green for good reason. First, green has always represented growth, flourishing, life, and multiplication. Second, green is all over North Augusta. The Greenway goes throughout the region. The local minor league team is the Green Jackets. Of course, the world renown Green Jacket of Augusta National gets attention every year at the Masters

The River.

North Augusta is part of the Central Savannah River Area (CSRA). The Savannah River is the defining geographic feature of our area. The river is also used in the Bible as a way to denote God’s presence. Rivers are part of the Creation Narrative (Gen 1 & 2), the Psalter (Psalm 46), and The New Heavens/New Earth (Rev 22:1-2).

The Stained Glass.

Our logo resembles a stained-glass window like you would find in many historic church buildings. Even though we are a new church, we aren’t novel or disconnected from the Ancient Faith. We recognize we’re but one of the newest churches throughout history & we adhere to the historic creeds and confessions that have unified believers for millennia.

We’re also a connected church, being part of the Presbyterian Church in America. We are a fellowship based on the One God in Three Persons and His Mission that He gave us in & to the world.

Triangle.

The triangle is an ancient symbol of the Trinity, showing that God is three persons in one. Additionally, the heart of our city is in between I-20, I-520, and the Savannah river. These three borders mark off the center of North Augusta in a triangle.
